MERRY CHRISTMAS WOOOHOOOOO Christmas in Africa was LIT, lets get into it So much happened this week wow QUICK NOTES •i cut my own hair, and it turned out good, shoutout to my haters who didnt think i could do it •We had zone conference more on that later •I got to see the rest of my MT's! •Animal Infestion in the house, also more on that later •AND it was christmas! I got a lot to say on that.  OK we'll start for real for real now. I'm starting with zone confernce because i dont remember anything before thursday. wow it was so inspired. Our Mission Leaders are all so awesome. They walked us through the birth of christ with quick little dialogue then a video or something like that. The spirit was definitely there. No, we need to be betters, No judgement, Not really a lot of TEACHING either. Really just a super safe place to feel the spirit and deepen our understanding on the birth of Jesus Christ. It was amazing. I got to talk to tons of missionaries because it was a multi z...

Messi est Boulé (Week #24)

Welcome back to week 24 everyone. I know you're super super excited for this email so i'll stop making you wait and get into it CHRISTMAS: WOOOHOOO it's christmas time! Still doesn't feel like it but we bought a bunch of little crappy made snowmen, christmas lights, and my mom mailed me christmas gifts. One of which i opened early with them on the phone. My family got me Sweats. they're the GOAT. Also my comp bought me black léké's (Which are super popular but look so weird) and I bought him a liverpool jersey. Call me selfish getting him a liverpool jersey but hey i get him a gift and i add a fan to the liverpool fanbase. sounds good to me. All we're missing is snow.  I'M TRILINGUAL (ALMOST): We met a guy from Nigeria, who was visiting cote d'ivoire, however, he typically lives in china. wild huh. Something funny was that i somehow spoke more french english, and chinese then him. That was a very funny situation. He started speaking english, said he ...

I'm Pretty Sure It's Still August.. (Week #23)

Ok this week was awesome, i had lots of exchanges and we got transfer news so thats cool. First in the Christmas Spirit i'll start with something christmas related we went to marcellins place, he's awesome, he hung up christmas lights to have the christmas spirit. Then we went over and sat down and it was not christmas music so we politely were like yo your christmas music sucks. Then he played a top hits christmas playlist, just for one second i really felt the holiday christmas spirit. Then I we walked out and everything was back to it's good old african self Something else with that. It does NOT ever feel like christmas, let me explain why. I left on my mission in July, very hot month, and then left to africa. Ever since i left every month is a hot month. It's like im stuck in an endless summer(Elder Kendon Clough Reference). I feel like ive been on my mission for MAYBE 2 months but more like 1-1/2. Crazy thinking i've already hit 5 months (Shoutout to my 5 mon...

Zero Electricity, Zero Baptisms(Almost) Week #22

Image
Note: I almost named the email "How Many Missionaries does it take to baptize a Maman Aké"... Answer? 10 DISCLAIMER: sorry this is a mega long email. I don't know why. But it is. I'll title all the sections feel free to jump around. INTRO: Welcome back I hope you're not too sick of reading these yet. Also I really am curious how many of you actually read these. Cause i've got a decent chunk of people on this list but im sure only like 20% of you read them. So if you're in that 20% congrats and I love you and I hope you're excited.  LYDIE IS ON DATE: This week started great. We got one of our friends on date for baptism. Her name is Lydie, she lives with members and we were confident she wanted to join the church. However, she learns very slowly. Wtih her we're teaching about 1 priniciple per lesson. each lesson is about 45 minutes. You missionaries out there know how unproductive that is. Very. But in the long run itll matter way more than i could ...

What's up Family, and Friends! Love you all I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving and I hope you're blasting christmas music already.  I dont know where to start so i'm definitely gonna be jumping all over the place so i hope you enjoy. This week was the best Ok Wednesday I had an exchange with the legend Elder Cavé and he's canadian so he already speaks french which is cool. However before that we went to the bank to get money and while we were outside we saw two cars drive straight into a pothole and get stuck. Then a group of 8 teenagers came in stopped traffic and pulled the car out and helped them get around the pothole. One maman paid the teenagers after too. That was one of the most christlike things ive seen here haha it was fun to witness Anyways his area is great and he's just a fun guy. I learned a lot. We had a lesson with a Maman from Ghana. She could speak french and english but only read in english. We facetimed her husband which was interesting. He...
