Image
Hey hey hey. Welcome back! This week was cool! I worked with my new comp elder Gibson. He's a dawg. He eats sooo much which is good. It's helping me eat more!! Maybe I'll gain some pounds I already lost. I've been working out pretty much almost every day which has been awesome. Crazy that I feel like there's actually some progress even tho I'm pretty much only doing push ups. Started my plan this week... iykyk We had stake conference which was really good. Valerie and her son came!! Big things coming for them. President and Sister Litchfield dropped bars. We were happy! We'll be doing lots of exchanges this transfer. We're planning on working harddd. We set some big goals for ourselves and our zone. We'll see what we can accomplish! We cleaned the apartment today which was cool ig haha We had chicken one night, cow another night, and fish the next night. I danced with some kids (check the Google photos) I played soccer with some kids W...

Well, we're on the last transfer.. so crazy. Doesn't feel real. Banger week that I don't remember a ton about Monday after pday I did a call with my counselor and did my school schedule which was crazy. I had an exchange Tuesday with Elder Mayamba that was sooo fun. We just went with the flow, worked hard, but tried to practice charity with everyone around us. We just tried being as nice to everyone as we could. We played soccer with kids, did jump rope, and just had so much fun. It had been a long time since I've done that so I was very happy. It was such a fun day full of hard work but not just exhausting ourselves. We played no joke 15 vs 2 soccer. Me and my comp. the missionaries won hahaha. We took advantage of their height (which is crazy coming from me) and I kept chipping it up to my comp who would head it in. It was so fun I miss taco bell Wednesday it rained a lot, we had a member with us which was hype but besides that it was honestly pretty mid Thur...

Marriage, Baptism, Gardens, Spikeball, Zone Conference, Interviews, Exchange, Mangos, The Atonement! (Week #95)

(This is last weeks email i didnt have time to send out) Sorry for the long title.. couldnt think of anything creative so I just put literally anything I did this week in the title. I've been losing more and more motivation to look for good email titles.. and write my emails.. We'll see how this goes I don't have a lot to say this week. Next week will be better. I'll just give a very brief explanation of all the titles up above Marriage: Saturday one of our members got married. Everyone was waiting for them to show up at the reception and when they showed up everyone got hype. As they got closer to the doors I felt the spirit more and more. Marriage is so so important and so sacred. I loved that feeling! Baptism!: one of our friends was baptised along with another kid that turned 8 at the church... it wasn't organised well but we figured it out wrote up a program and it was good! Felt the spirit so strong again Gardens: we went to these crazy gardens today. Th...

Oh I miss the temple (Week #94)

This week was so exhausting not even gonna cap. But like new week new me ou bien Let's get into it Tuesday we had district council and... I GOT SCHAWARMA🥵🥰🔥(sorry to talk about food again) (did I spell that right?) It was sooo good. That night we had to go prepare for one of our many exchanges.(3) So we went to their apartment and spent the night. I was in their area for the day and my comp stayed at Niangon 5. It was good. Had a couple really cool lessons. It was super nostalgic because I did like 8 exchanges there when i was in my first area. Got to see some familiar faces but this time I could actually speak the language.⛽️⛽️ That same night we finished the exchange and on the way back to the apartment we saw the assistants were already at our apartment ready to pick us up for the next exchange. So without being able to really prepare I just had to pack all my stuff real quick and leave. Would've loved to have showered but hey, count your many blessings. That started m...

Learning how to Chef it up (Week #93)

Hey Everyone! I hope you're doing well. I love you all and I hope you're excited to read a little bit of my email! To be honest I don't got a whole lot to say. I'll kinda go day to day and see what comes up. Allons-y! Monday. So after I sent my email on Monday we went out to the area and started teaching. Our appointments fell through so we asked one of our friends if they knew anyone who would be interested in the gospel. Immediately she said yes and helped us find this guy named Yann. He's so awesome. He is really interested and wants to learn more about the church. Infact he said he's been searching himself for a church to join and this was kinda an answer to his prayers! We ended up talking for a while. We were also with one of our new converts who loves the church. Anyway, he brought up baptism and I could tell he was interested. We read a passage in mosiah in the Book of Mormon that helped him understand baptism. He said well that's the desire of...

"Lord, I Would Follow Thee" (Week #92)

Howdy! I hope you are doing well! I'm doing great! I'll explain more about that later I need to start with what I missed last week. So last week was really awesome like I said in the last email we had some really awesome spiritual appointments. But also something I was not able to put in my email last week was one night, we got a call from the office elders. They said Hey! It's the office elders! we would like to inform you that tomorrow, you will be doing an exchange with elder Larson, and elder hall. I got so excited! Elder Larson is one of my close friends on the mission and elder hall came out at the same time as me! It was definitely a huge blessing! That next day I worked with Elder Larson and we had such a blast. First we went to the store and bought some monsters and then we had a really good morning. We got to contact lots of people. It was fun to talk to him because he just came back from Senegal which is a lil different than côte d'Ivoire so he was having ...

He Lives and I Love Him! (Week #91)

Image
Hey ! I've gotta go a little quicker than usual this time but next time I'll promise a longer one! This week was really awesome work wise. Lots of success with members, about 13 lessons with members participating which was awesome. We also hit our new friend goal was great! But despite all of that, the highlight was a couple of our appointments. 1: we planned a 30 minute lesson with a friend named Flan. We were planning to talk about baptism but wasn't quite sure whether to invite him to be baptised or not. Well long story short, that lesson turned into an hour and a half. The best part was nobody ever felt like it was taking forever or getting boring/dragging on. The spirit was definitely there and I said some things I've never said before teaching him that day. At the end we talked about the power and authority. We talked about where it came from, and how you need go be baptised by someone who holds this power. He understood so so well and realized that he hadn...
