Oh I miss the temple (Week #94)
This week was so exhausting not even gonna cap. But like new week new me ou bien
Let's get into it
Tuesday we had district council and... I GOT SCHAWARMA🥵🥰🔥(sorry to talk about food again) (did I spell that right?) It was sooo good.
That night we had to go prepare for one of our many exchanges.(3) So we went to their apartment and spent the night. I was in their area for the day and my comp stayed at Niangon 5. It was good. Had a couple really cool lessons. It was super nostalgic because I did like 8 exchanges there when i was in my first area. Got to see some familiar faces but this time I could actually speak the language.⛽️⛽️
That same night we finished the exchange and on the way back to the apartment we saw the assistants were already at our apartment ready to pick us up for the next exchange. So without being able to really prepare I just had to pack all my stuff real quick and leave. Would've loved to have showered but hey, count your many blessings. That started my next exchange with Elder Knoll at Abobodoumé! That was actually my 3rd exchange with him. It was probably one of the better ones. (I really enjoyed ours in Micao so I don't know if it takes #1) also the last one was fun cause we took a Pitstop at the office and had a fun gbaka intervention. Ce qui est sûr est qu'ils sont tous chic. So yeah, major dub encore. Also we had mango smoothies crepes and chicken...( all seperate meals, not together) bussssinnn
Then we had kind of a chill day where we did weekly planning (my favorite thing of all time 😐) and then had a good day. We met with this guy that lived in Dallas for 18 years. We talked all about sports, basketball playoffs, stock market, etc. Super weird. The guy was just dropping language around every corner but I guess I just hadn't heard someone swear in English or something for a while but it caught me off guard.. I guess It'll help me get used to hearing that more often when I get back. Anyways he was interesting. I thought he just wanted to talk to the americans but he said he wanted to learn about Jesus and then shared some experiences. On verra
One day this week (no clue what day) I giant rain storm came. It was wild. We were just stuck under a tin roof for an hour and it was hard to talk because of the noise. Don't have much more to say, rainy season is coming
Mango season is hitting its prime and I am no where near taking advantage of it to thr level I should be.. its OK I can always repent and do better
Saturday I had ANOTHER exchange and for the 3rd time I was leaving our area. Don't worry I'm in Niangon 5 for the rest of the transfer. (Hallelujah)
I was in Lokoa with Elder Kabamba and Elder Young. It was actually so fun. Elder Young actually gave me some really good ideas. I split up our area into multiple other areas because it was so good and I hope we can focus on some of those spots and grow our area as a whole. Maybe I'll attach a screenshot of what our area map looks like.
Anyways we did lots of service. Got some blisters, hauled cement up a building, cleaned clothes, worked hard. It was super fun. Elder Young is a stellar example of a missionary that wants to serve. I learned a lot. We had some good lessons and a super successful ward seminary. I think 6 friends came, 2 new friends, and a new convert. It was super edifying and helped the youth in the ward to strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ! I hope to be able to assist again one day!
And finally Sunday. We had some big Miracles. We were short on some of our goals and God really just helped us meet them. We found 4 new friends that day. And had a few lessons with member help with is always a miracle! After at about 3:00 we had a missionary fireside for the stake. It went really long but I would say it was actually really good. I think everyone learned a couple things or at least was able to share a couple things. That also gave us a better idea of what we could do to help the zone. One of the members hyped me up so much saying why he loves working with me (he's not even in my ward 😭) and I'm not gonna lie he had me feeling pretty good. Definitely wasn't necessary tho I'm tryna work on being humble and that didn't help but Gods helping me! That same night we had some small problems and I got humbled again realllll quick (God is good). It led to lots of prayer but now we're all good again!
There's my week, no time for a spiritual thought but I love you all. Please go spend some time in the temple I miss it smmm. Also study D&C 109. Think about the fact that they didn't even have any ordinances for salvation in the Kirkland temple and then think of the prayer and what was said. It really helps us learn the importance of just being as close to God as we can be at all times
Love you all. See you soon. Enjoy some photos
