I Spoke Chinese, They Understood (perfectly) (Week #45)

what up ladies and gentleman. do you know how much i love you all? (shoutout president and sister craig, love you guys!) I love you all so much! I love hearing from you all and i am so happy for the warm weather coming your way! (shoutout to my utah fam! #WhoDat! (sorry thats for my other family down south!)) I hope all these unneccesary parenthesis aren't confusing y'all. anyways. Let's Gooooooo (dababy) This week was super super busy but super good. we recieved a lot of news which means we're on ultra power speed rn. there's a general authority coming on tuesday. and then the monday after a general authority and a member of the presidency of the 70. so yeah, we're busy. We got lots of preparing to do for that, making sure sound systems work, the zone conference video i have to do, and all that. prayers up that everything goes well. tuesday we went to go eat at this lit chinese food spot Elder Giles and Elder Cavé spotted. It was in a sketchy spot so we were worried it was gonna be trash, but after going in and seeing only asians and some good looking food, we were confident and excited. Seeing the opportunity arise, you know i had to practice my chinese (shoutout to my two years of foreign language in chinese) i know two things 1. Ni Hao and 2. how many people are in your family. no SHOT am i gonna try and spell that. actually..... jk imma spell it just cause i think itll be amusing. Ni da jiao you ji kou ren that's probably perfect , as you could tell by my email title. anyways i said that. and they didnt understand a word that came out of my mouth. oh well, i guess my chinese was just too sophesicated for them. it was pretty perfect if i say so myself. anyways, food was super tasty, i accidently ordered more food then i wanted, but it ended up working out. Would reccommend again. we will definitely pass I got to see a lot of homies this week, i would shout you all out but that'd be too much, let me just give you a couple special ones (sorry for the people i saw last friday for trainings, you just missed my urge to shoutout some homies) All my MT's LOVE Y'ALL (specifically this week hendrickson coudeha kesterson patterson) (i pray i didnt forget a name) Elder Gore and Elder Linton (that was funny haha) Elder Wilson (man stole my fricken pen) (kidding didnt steal he paid me) (update again i bought three more today suck itttt) (update again again i bought the wrong tip so i wasted a lot of money) :( Elder Sandberg Elder Mendome (we took a photo shoot) you'll see Elder Hopkinson (Goat of Duolingo) Elder Cassady (fellow JB fanboy) and many more i apologize if i forgot to shout you out OH AND ELDER KABONGO (hope i spelled that right) he's hilarious and he had a medical problem the week before so it was awesome being able to see him in good health. Elder Nuttall is added to this list simply so i can gain pity points on his quote game that i haven't participated in at all... Come back season! OK more good news, gore and linton said they'd add me to their podcast LETSSS GOOOO i have new screen protectors! and phone cases! i finally beat reshetar in settlers of catan again!! I got a new notebook I had like a 2 hour call with SLC... i dont know if we solved the problem? fingers crossed ig. solved a lot of problems that have been a longterm issue this week . hallelujah We had a baptism today! Two Ghanians at the Marcory ward! Obviously Reshetar and I didnt teach them but still we had the opportunity to give them a friend at church and do what we could. I loved the opportunity to do so and it was great! They did amazing and even bore their testimony in english. After that once everyone left the ward i had a quick battle with a couple other missionaries. We frisbee-d bottle caps at each other! (shoutout Luke, Garrett Kendon, Mac, Jake and Nate) (special shoutout nate, he talks to me every week he's cracked and he's doing amazing with his photography and videography) anyways it brought me back to before the mission when we played baseball a couple times in lukes basement with bottle caps, or when i'd start collecting bottlecaps (prime bottles, gatorade bottles, etc.) in my car so i could fling them at people. good times. I won btw. Destroyed. Special shoutout to Granny! She didn't even text me or anything and let me know but my mother informed me that she added 50 dollars to my account because granny asked her to give me 50 dollars so i could eat pizza more often. I think that was her polite way of saying i need to put on weight but ill take it! I'll use it good i promise! (pizza hut here we come) (btw pizza hut in africa? different level.) First person to respond to me and tell me how many times i said something in parenthesis wins,(maybe a souvenir) (woah look more parenthesis) (also did you know souvenir is a french word?! the more you know!) there's plus 3, and dont go to fast maybe ill sneak something in the end too hehe. Ok winner of the week, winner of the week this week issss..... ELDER CAVÉ! WHAAAAA (insert audience cheering) first, i was informed he reads my emails every week, i was very impressed. Second, i ate chinese with him. I swear once you eat chinese with someone you HAVE to just become best friends, in fact, im pretty sure that's in the bro code somewhere. (never read the bro code) (where can i find the bro code?) Thanks Cavé! also to help everyone else out, its not elder cave, it sounds like caw (like paw) vay (like michael vey) ( I guess i coulda just put vey) meme chose. that's all, thanks for reading. i hope i wasnt too confusing, this next week is gonna be PACKED full of stuff so just wait for next weeks email its gonna be great. also i feel like this weeks email was pretty good, a replacement for the loser email i sent out last week.
