BEST HARDEST WORKING WEEK OF MY MISSION!! (Week #89)

yeah that title is just not true. at all. Let's talk about that! (Good Mythical Morning into Music) Haha sorry, this week was straight garbage but it was lowkey fun because of how many L's we took. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I think we spent at the apartment because my comp was sick. Before that we were at the hospital for those of you who forgot. They ran some tests and figured out he had malaria. So we needed to rest. So these days I spent doing a few things 1) lots of cleaning, I rearranged the entire apartment. In fact the mission apartment boss (used that because my brain can't think of the better title) said that he was really impressed because the last time he was there the apartment was really dirty and now its clean and tidy. I was so proud. No problem bro! So keep that in mind for later, "super super duper clean apartment" 2) Lots of studying. Lots of D&C, I've read like 60 chapters, I refuse to let myself get too lazy and just sleep all day so studying has been my go to. Its been cool. D&C is cracked. 3)Eating, if I ever got bored and didn't want to eat, and didn't want to clean, I had two choices... Eat, or Sleep. I chose sleep every once in a while but I went to eat cereal like 3 times a day just in between meals cause I didn't have much more to do. Anyways Thursday he's still feeling like garbage so the mission doctor clears us to go to a nicer hospital. FARAH. super nice super chic. Anyways we pull up, they get him in cause the guy hasn't eaten at all and is dehydrated and has a fever. Anyways after some tests the guys got dengue. Definitely not juiced. So they tell us we'll be spending a couple nights. We have to pay extra to get a bed for me and the insurance doesn't cover it so I got to sleep on a chair and also they didn't get me food haha yako. Anyways that's important later keep listening. So that night I got special permission to join the call for my brothers mission opening call at 1am! JAMES GOT CALLED TO THE PHILIPPINES WHAAAAA. SOO SOO SOO HAPPY FOR HIM, and HYPED for him to try this thing called the mango royal everyones been talking about. He's gotta learn to make those that'll be hype. Anyways he's excited and I'm excited for him! Plus he leaves in September which gives us tons of time together. Woohooo! Ok next morning I'm hungry and want food ya know, but they don't give me food so I leave and go to the cafeteria to go get food. Skip to the end of the story, all the cafeteria workers and I are like best friends, they started giving me free stuff because we were just homies. And like I'm not talking little cheap candies, like they'd just buy me full drinks or like fill my sandwich up like double its capacity. it was so hype. Had to profit from that and teach them a little about why were here and what we do! It's been about 10 days since I've been in area but I can't say its been 10 days since I've taught a lesson ahha. It was fun to talk about God again and remind myself why I'm here. Another night goes by of me studying and chilling on my chair in the hospital and then they let us go the next day. It was sad saying goodbye to my cafeteria friends 😢 Ok now here's the brightside, I was sooo hyped to go back to our nice super super duper clean apartment and just chill in my nice bed ya know?? We get back and notice that the apartment was not as super super duper clean as we left it. And then I notice that my suitcases have been dumped out and everything that was in my closet was now on the floor haha. I'll attach some photos. And yes, to answer your question. We did get robbed. My comp said something I really liked "Well hey, at least they were nice robbers!" At first I thought he was crazy for saying that, like bro, we just got robbed how's that nice. But he was right! We had lots of items in there that i did not want to lose, Ivory Coast jerseys, Pagne Baoulé, Pagne Ties, even an African drum. And luckily for me they didn't take a thing. They were only there for hard cash or cards. Luckily I had everything on me but my comp left his bank card and 10k that they stole. Yako So yeah, they had us move apartments. We're somewhere else now, still not going to the area because he needs 7 days of rest according to the doctors. I'll go on some exchanges this week tho don't worry. I love you all and miss you all!
