Undefeatable! (Week #83)

What's up! There's a few big things that happened I want to talk about so let's get straight into it. 1) LA CAN Oh my gosh! Côte d'Ivoire is getting super far in the African cup! Playoffs were this past week. We played Sénégal and no one expected Côte d'Ivoire to win. Sénégal was one of the most dominant teams in the cup! However Côte d'Ivoire won in PENALTIES at the very END! THE ENTIRE CITY WENT CRAZY! This allowed them to move on to the next game versus Mali. At the 40th Minute, Côte d'Ivoire got a red card and had to play a man down. Going into second half the score was 1-0. Côte d'Ivoire was losing. In the 90TH MINUTE. Côte d'Ivoire had a craaaaaazy goal! Which sent then to overtime or prolongation. Which is two 15 minute halfs that go until 120 minutes. In the 120th (+1) minute... CÔTE D'IVOIRE SCORED AGAIN. It was soooo crazy! This week we play against Congo and like half of this mission is congolais hahaha. Ça va chauffer 2) BIG NEWS We also received some crazy big news that Elder Bednar Elder Kearon and Elder Godoy Will all be coming to our mission soon! (23rd) because they're coming were doing a combined ZC which means I'll see Ethan Hart (one of my BOYS) and Elder Laws of the east mission! I'm so hyped to see them and the apostles! 3) MLC! We had MLC this week which was super fun. I actually really enjoyed this MLC. I learned a lot and felt like the messages were really inspired. We talked about some really exciting news for this mission and it's future. We also talked about Motivation and some other really important topics. Afterwards we had interviews with president which were great! 4) Exchanges! We had lots of exchanges this week.. first with Elder Lee, we worked in Résidentielle together. Had a really good time and learned a lot! We didn't have a lot of rendez-vous sadly but he had a good attitude through it all and had some fun contacts. ALSO had an exchange with the Assistants on Friday. I was planned to be when Elder Mendome and Elder Knoll in Abobodoumé but we ended up changing our plans last second because Elder Knoll had to go to the hospital. So Elder Cavé went with him because they're in a trio rn and Elder Mendome came back to our sector with me and my companion. We had a good day of talking to a lot of members. We had a special moment with the bishop that brought us a lot closer despite our difficulties. That night we were gonna give him back to his comps but they ended up staying the night at the hospital So because of that we stayed the night at the assistants house and we got to sleep in AC . That thing hit sooo hard.. I brought my blanket and slept sooo well. Then I took a shower. Oh my gosh I missed water pressure haha. Our apartment right now is a really good apartment but it's still new. So they're still working on water pressure. We have AC here but they still haven't installed it.. but that apartment was already well installed and it felt super nice. Even cold water just taking a shower with good water pressure was awesome. That second day we got to go back to our area with Elder Mendome. It was super awesome to work with the friends we had. I liked his way of teaching and testifying and learned a lot. We finished the night off and had to go back to his apartment to drop him off but we couldn't get a taxi because of the Côte d'Ivoire game. It was crazy. Got some fun videos from it. Join the Google Photos to see Ivory Coast going absolutely crazy. https://photos.app.goo.gl/9v2q3pnQVYwnSKAdA Ok that's all the big stuff! We had some really awesome miracles this week. One really quick one as an example. Sunday we forced our ward to do a coordination meeting. (Our ward sucks at doing it) Anyways we were doing it and they brought up an old friend of the church names Michelle. They asked us if we knew her and we said no. She was before our time and wasn't still being taught. Anyways the ward decided they wanted to try and focus on her again. Well walking in the area a papa called us over. We started talking to him and then we started talking to the woman sitting right next to him.. guess who she was? Michelle! Never met this woman in my life bit the day the ward And more importantly the Lord, wanted us to focus on her He sent us DIRECTLY to her. So crazy. The church is true! Enjoy some photos!
