I came back to America for p day! (Week #82)

Hey everyone! I hope you're doing well!! I love you all soooooo muchhh bisous bisous This week was honestly pretty lame for reasons I don't wanna really explain but it's OK. 1 Peter 4:13-16 Anyways haha I had two exchanges this week! That was awesomeee! We had such a great time and got to work sooo hard! I love exchanges so much now because they allow me to really push myself. Sadly I don't have anymore exchanges in my area. We have 4 more and im leaving for all of them but it's okay. Both days we had SOOO much fun and the spirit was definitely there. One day we had 7 appointments which felt like a huge success to get them all done. I learned a lot and the spirit helped some of our amis progress that weren't before. Also because of the exchanges I got to spend the night with Elder Lee and Elder Nobmann! Shout-out to the boys. I've been struggling a little bit finding the same joy I was feeling before. I felt like when I left the office and got back to missionary work I had a piece of complete joy. Obviously it was quite the eternal kind but I definitely got a taste. Now it's been hard to find that same thing. Problems with the area, companion, ward, zone etc can start to take away some of the immediate joy that comes from simply losing yourself in the work. I miss it but I've been trying to look for the upside. I've noticed a lot more miracles. Also we learn that God blesses us TREMENDOUSLY through our trials to come out the other side stronger. Not weaker! I'm hoping that's true and I can find myself in a state again where I completely lose myself and get to work with the lovely people here. The weekend was a little chaud but we got past it! Work wise we found some good success, always a highlight. Today we went to plateau, (the rich city city of abidjan) and WOW its so crazy. It's clean! They have trash cans! They have sidewalks! I was pretty blown away no cap. We went and saw the Catholic Cathedral (2nd largest in Africa I believe) and went and ate some food. I'll send some pics, Shout-out Elder nobmann daddy district leader for planning and paying for lunch. I luvvv you I'll send pics for that Quick spiritual thought We need to make our BEST efforts to have the Spirit with us. It is so so important. Sometimes we don't realize the real importance/impact that it has. On partaking the sacrament every week we have the promise that through doing certain things we can have the Spirit with us.... Always! It's not that hard! Stand in Holy Places Remember our Savior Stand as a Witness Serve when you have the chance Keep the commandments! And you wanna know the best part?? If you mess up you can REPENT! What! Who would've thought it'd be so simple and easy! As we make an effort and give ourselves to the Lord, He will give His Spirit to us. Such a great blessing. Take advantage of it! Invitation: make an effort to focus on the Lord! Ask yourself: When was the last time I studied the Scriptures? When was the last time I prayed day and night? When was the last time I looked for opportunities to serve others? Odds are you're not perfect, none if us are! We all have room to improve! For God so loved the world He sent His only Son. We can repent and try again. He doesn't ask for us to be perfect at first, he asks for EFFORT. And he will make our efforts perfect! Think about it! I love you all! I'm not going to put a miracle this week because of time but we had plenty!
