GOD MAGNIFIES OUR EFFORTS(Week #67)
Hey everyone! Not a lot of time this week. I'll give some highlights!
Tuesday I had an exchange with Elder Hendrickson. It was very fun. We did a lot of stuff together. Most of the lessons fell through so we went contacting. Found two really awesome guys, and then played soccer with a Bunch of kids. It was super fun.
One adult came out and starting chastising us. He said you're missionaries right?! And we said yes... and he said, give me a Bible verse right now that backs up what you're doing. And I was like what the.... so basically we told him it's a commandement to love our neighbors and we're showing our love by playing soccer.
Anyways good day. Got a lot done. Wednesday we had exchanges and I stayed with Elder monka because he was also training and we were in the same apartment before. We had to wait for our new missionary until Thursday so we spent Wednesday and Thursday together. Wednesday we did some teaching that were actually really awesome. I learned a lot and the spirit was there for sure. We went back vibed a little, and then started cleaning so much. When I first got there the apartment was a dump. The last 3 transfers someone in that transfer was going home to the US, so they just left all of their crap they didn't want in the apartment. There was a lot of work done but in the end I was actually hyped to be in a clean apartment! I was like yeah I can totally live in this no problem!
Thursday morning I was deep cleaning the bathroom. It was SOO dirty before and now its SOOO clean. Anyways, half way through the assistants send me a text saying ,you're moving again, pack your bags and bring them to the office! Bro, it was such an rip moment. I was like dang well, I just cleaned ur entire apartment and now im not even living here haha. Anyways it looks fresh now.
That evening after packing my bags AGAIN I went to go pick up my new companion! It wasssssssss Elder Parson! He's from Logan Utah, and so ready to learn! He took a year of French before which is helping a little! He's a beast, it's really hard in the beginning with not knowing the language but were having fun. Bishop gave us a ride home and we continued!
Anyways Friday was the first day I worked in MY area that entire week. Tuesday, exchange in micao 1 Wednesday and Thursday, in niangon5 and then finally Friday back to sector. I was a little discouraged because we weren't close to hitting any of our key indicators. We only had a couple days left in the area but I wanted to make the best of it. Friday was a good day, we taught some great people, and put Sylvia on date for baptism!! She's awesome and we hope she'll continue!
And were hopeful she'll continue because she came to a baptism for the sector of Micao 1 the next day and loved it! She thought it was awesome! The baptism was really fun and after for an activity all the women had an activity. It was soccer! But they wanted the missionaries to join. Anyways It was young women vs mama's ahhaha. Elder Hendrickson and I were on the young women team and our trainees were on the mama team..it was so crazy. Larson biffed it so hard once it was so funny
Saturday was another good day. We worked hard and found some new friends and prepared for Sunday
Sunday was awesome... we had 9 amis come to church! It was a big win. Then we had a member come to area with us after. Basically a big win.
We ended up hitting almost all of our goals. Even with he limited time. That to me adds to my testimony that God magnifies our efforts. There were so many times I didn't really know what to do and then the PERFECT opportunity got placed in our path. God is good!
Ok I don't have time for a winner of the week I'll do 2 next week
Also I'll put 5 photos in every email but if you'd like to see all my photos join my Google photos!
