Time to "Chef Up" again (Week #57)
What's up everyone, not a lot of time, lets go
This week was awesome, lots of good work done. Monday was a good day, although i don't remember what happened, it was good
OH MONDAY! monday night we went to this restaurant named Texas Grillz. We actually new the owner so we were pretty hyped to go. sadly he wasn't there but as we were ordering there was this guy just next to me and we started talking. this guy had a perfect american accent. His best friend was a member of our church so he was interested to learn more. after a longer super fun, edifying conversation, he left to go bring the food back for his family. However on the way out, he told the waiter to put the food on his bill! it was so nice of him and it really was a miracle because this guy has a really good view on our church because of his best friend. we're hoping we can talk to him and he can progress! but regardless of that, at the end of the day he was such a nice man who had a kind heart. and we're so grateful for him
tuesday we went to yopougon for district council and then came back for a meeting, it was a great day and elder morris gave a great spiritual thought about prayer. He said that prayer is one of the most important tools we have. It is how we can pull down the powers of heaven in our daily lives. he continued to share some touching stories. well this went perfectly with some council both elder laws gave (in form of his email) and my homie elder palmer! After doing some study I really do feel like i had a large impact on my week through my prayers.
That evening we had to go back to koumassi (capsud) and get some tech stuff. so i decided at the same time that I should buy some cilantro and parmesean for the pollo casado i cooked today. (saturday) we finished the night eating at a pretty good restaurant it was awesome
thursday was MLC so i got to see a ton of awesome missionaries again. And Elder Cluff brought me potatos , what a G, and Elder Cavé and Elder Holman were supposed to get us tomatos but they forgot, so we went down to yopougon in horrilbe traffic and we got to see their apartment, shoutout to elder wilson, you won their winner of the week haha.
after grabbing the tomatos we came back and there was a lot of traffic aswell, but we figured out as we passed that it was because there was a motorcyclist who died. it was sad to see and helped confirm my thought that i never want a motorcycle to be my primary form of transportation. maybe an occasion whip around but it''s just too dangerous, we've seen so many motorcycle crashes here. so quick shoutout to all you motorcyclists, be careful!
I've finished all the gospels this week. I'll start reading acts today. i'm really excited and i learned A LOT from the 4 gospels! john was my favorite one. i loved how Jesus talked in it and the power you could see behind his words. I felt it for sure!! Let me konw what your thoughts are and which one of the 4 gospels is your favorite and why!
ok that's all, ill add the pictures of the amazing pollo casado we ate today.
Winner of the Week this week issss: Garrett Palmer! That guys a G and has helped me with tons of my gospel questions recently. we've been able to have some edifying conversations.however sadly today my messenger broke, so i wasn't able to really relay my thanks. so im doing it here! thanks man!
Also happy birthday shoutout to my Dad!! august 3rd! you're awesome and you've been such an amazing example to me, and a great friend.. thanks!!
love you all!
