Reflections on the Office(Week #60)

This week was good! It feels so weird wrapping up my time in the office but I'm excited to leave and to go back to full time teaching! Tuesday we went to chicken nation and the power went out like 5x. We got some pictures it was a blast. Wednesday we went to the Strattons to help them with some technology problems. It was great time. Everytime I leave Elder and Sister Strattons place I feel so so edified and motivated to improve. Thursday night we had half of the missionaries going home stay with us. It was so fun. I had one if the coolest conversations with Elder Linton and Elder Childs. I left the conversation again feeling so so motivated to be better. The next morning we all stayed together and went to breakfast. The leaving missionaries had lots of extra funds so we treated ourselves nice nice. Waffles, crepes, eggs, etc. It was a goodbye meal and it was fun. I love those Elders. It's really getting sad because more and more missionaries are leaving. We lost 16 this transfer, and we're losing 19 next transfer (or something like that) it's hard because I've created such great relationships with these people and they keep leaving!! But it's been good and I'm grateful for what I've learned. As my time is coming to a stop here, I've been doing a lot of reflecting. I'm so grateful for my time in the office. I remember when I told my Dad I was going to the office. He asked if I was happy to go or not. I understand why he asked. It's not the missionary work we imagine when we recieve our call to serve. However, after my time in the office I've grown to the understanding that I can feel the spirit just as much in the office as in the area. I can continue to grow my love for these beautiful people in the office just as much as outside. I can deepen my testimony in the office just as much as outside. Yeah their might be some hurdles along the way, but it's not hard to overcome them if we put in the required effort. The Lord has blessed me so much to have had the chance to learn from such amazing people. The senior couples, the staff in general, and President and Sister Litchfield. I thank God often for the blessings I've been given. The things I've learned, and the new power and motivation I've recieved to go out and work as hard as I can, to give all my heart to whatever area I'm assigned in. And I owe it all to God for the lessons I've learned. Anyways... that's all! On to winner of the week... Winner of the week this week is: James! (My brother).. he got his patriarchal blessing this week and I'm so proud of him. I remember how important my blessing was for me. I didn't really start developing my testimony until after i got my blessing. But once I got it, my efforts in this church accelerated so so fast. My testimony grew, and I learned the power that comes from this true church. I had spiritual experiences like none other. I pray his situation is the same. I pray his testimony continues to grow, and that he'll learn the healing power of this church. And forever be blessed because of it. Also that guys just a goat. Literally way cooler than me in all aspects. Also man's an athletic beast. I'm good at a couple things here and there but him... nahhhhh. Man's a legend Also I bought an ivory coast jersey with and added le blanc on the back. It was very expensive but so hype. Le blanc (the white) is what all the kids call you when we're walking through the neighborhoods... felt pretty legendary. I'll send pics one day
