Winner Takes ALL (Week #42)

What's up family and friends.It's time to start your weekly reading of emails. I hope mine are one of the ones you look forward to! Allons-y! Ok so monday this week we went to a zone activity, with permission from president. Usually that's not something we would need permission for but seeing as our p days are on saturday, it was a definitely something we had to confirm we could do. But he said yes. so we spent the day playing spikeball basketball, soccer and all sorts of other fun stuff. It went well and i got to see some amazing friends in our zone. Office work: office work went pretty well this week. I was really focused and i worked really hard to make sure that i did what i could. This is also my last week with Elder McCurdy :(. anyways he's technically the tech lead/ my trainer. so i because he's going back to the U.S. I know i'll be the tech lead next week and i feel ready! I feel like i have a decent understanding of everything in tech from problem sollving to responsiblilites to just basic information. Doing it all with one tech elder will be haard but im ready for the challenge and I can't wait to help others out and grow along side my time in the office. African Market We went to the market today for p day and i got most of the souvenirs i wanted for the mission. there's only a couple of things left that i still need to get so i feel pretty good. plus i'm an office elder so i live in the office elder apartment. that makes it super easy to keep stuff here and not take it around from area to area. then i can just simply come back at the end of my mission and grab what's mine and peace out. seems lit to me. anyways. we went to the market and like i said i got a lotttt. but one of those things that i got was a mancala set, which brought me back to my days with elder earl. man i love that guy! it was one of his most expensive mancala sets and there was no shot i was gonna get that. but then i talked to the guy and we made a deal. There were two types of mancala sets, the first one he was listing at something like 25,000cfa maybe 20,000cfa (way to expensive) and the more expensive ones were about 35,000-40,000cfa (way way wayyyy too expensive) so i did what any normal man would do, i offered to play him. I said man, i think i could build this myself for less than 5,000 so how about we play a game and if i win i can take the cheap one at 5,000. he hesitantly accepted my offer. He asked if i ever played, i answered not really. Which was not completely completely true thanks to my old companion elder earl!! so we played. his version was different then what i normally do but i had a blast anyways. and, to make it better, i totally destroyed him. then i thought, hmmm what if i go even further. so i said, you see your expensive one there? and he said yeah, and i said how about i just take that one for 5000 and he was like noooo no cheaper than 20,000 and i was like ok, lets make an offer. we'll play again. the way you play his version is you win by points. and you can have up to 6 points if you clean sweep the other player. but thats super hard, the first game i won by 4. so i said, let's play again, except for every point i score, you take 1000 off my score. making it from 10,000-9,000-8,000etc. and i said if you win, it'll add 1000 to the price per point you get, 10,000-11,000-12,000etc. game on. it was a very very intense game, we were both obviously trying very hard. he beat me BARELY and i technically owed him 1000, but he said im a legendary mancala player so he'll keep it at 10,000. i still almost think it's too expensive but it's made out of really really nice wood and the carving is a dope elephant. the wood is heavy and polished well compared to his other options so im happy at the end of the day.I also bought a huge rhino. that was lit. not huge huge .but like. my head huge. yeah. elder mccurdy cut my hair. thanks bro. i started running some facebook ads i created ( which are working great btw) je n'ai pas quelque chose d'autre yako Winner of the Week! the winner of the week this week issss.... Elder Kesterson! he wins because he responded to my email last week and also because he used two pictures that came from me in his email. first a picture of me,, which idk why was in his email, but then the pic of the midget on the gbaka. anyways. i felt special so now it's his turn to feel special. he started his mission at the same time as me and we were in the mtc together. He's a great guy and he lives in St. George which is near where i'll be going to college after the mission so we'll totally meet up and hang out a little. He's one of my great friends i've made on my mission. Also we're creating a book (not really) called the Ducky and Kesty Chronicles. It'll be the worlds hypest story anyone has ever came across so i dont remember a lot this week so sorry for the lack of stories and work into my email.
