Rain vs. Burger King(Week #39)
What's up everyone! I love you all sooo much and miss you guys! This week was a lot of work but the Lord was with us and led us through till the end! It qas a great week
Ok so i created a new weekly newsletter for the mission, I'm hoping that'll have a positive impact on the people here and that i can continue it make it better and better every week!
We had zone conference this week, so i went to zone conference three times. We got a brand new (...expensive) mic set-up and it was suchhh a blessing! The spirit was so much stronger because of our sound system haha. That might not make sense but the mic system before was just so unclean and would cut out and the mics would start making noises like they were about to blow up... often. Now we have an amazing set up thay worked almost flawlessly. I was in charge of that new sound system and for the most part i believe it sounded great.
Also zone conference was so great and everytime i went i felt the spirit a different way. I made a slideshow full of scriptures missionaries sent in and I've probably watched it over 50x because of editing all that. I thought i was completely desensitised to it. Well every time i watched it in zone conference i seriously did feel the spirit so strongly. It didn't stop. God is good.
Zone Conference has also been a great way to see all of my missionary friends! Ive gotten to see pretty much everyone except for the people in Sénégal. That was awesome and a blessing for sure. I've made a lot of friends in this mission, some of which i know will last outside of the mission which will be great.
I heard Ethan Hart got called to this mission and couldnt stop thinking about it until i found out he's not actually in my mission haha, just the one above me. Yako. Still cool tho
Learned how to use an equalizer and mixer, that was lit, that was part of the sound system
Bought an elephant tusk, giraffe skin or whatever, and a rhino horn from the african market... dont know how im gonna get those home. Cool souvenirs tho
Got burger king while we were at the airport, it was soooooo good. But also we went in and it was fine but when we came back it was pouring, and we parked on the opposite side of the parking lot. First time i feel like I've full sprinted as a missionary. It felt nice sprinting through the rain, dodging cars, with a bag of burger king in my hands. Also incase you care. I got the 9 pack of spicy nuggets with fries and a drink. It was tastyyyyy. (Mal doux)
We had a ward activity today where we watched general conference. It was hard to hear but i still got a lot out of it. My french has gotten way better since the last conference and i could understand so much more this time. It was great. We had an amazing turnout with a room full of members and friends. The way our ward functions we were not expecting this but miracles happen!
Winner of the WEEK! The winner of the week this week isss.... Kendon Clough! Serving in the West Virgina mission! But actually kentucky rn! I think! I was thinking, and i never chose him because i thought he won already, but im pretty sure he hasnt! So here ya go man! Love this guy, such a beast, can't wait to wreck college with this absolute stud. We're seriously gonna cause chaos but itll be amazing. Love you nodnek, tu es le meilleur et je ne peux pas attendre pour les choses qu'on va faire après la mission, on va tuer cedar city. Mais en toute cas vraiment merci beaucoup, tu m'as aidé beaucoup et tu as changé ma vie.
Also april fools i did not buy any of those crazy animal things, gotcha. I bought a kid tho. Im bringing him home with me. He's adorable!!.... april fools again.. sadly..
