Zone Conference, Zone Conference andddd Zone Conference! (Week #33)

Ok so, this week was zone conference, as office elders we have a lot to do with zone conference preparation, so we did a lot. To be honest, i dont remember a lot outside of two things 1) Zone Conference 2) Zone Conference Preparation So we'll see where this thing goes and we'll go day by day so i can give as much info as possible SUNDAY: Church! Church went great! I bore my testimony and lets just say it went a lot better than the first time i bore my testimony for a new ward. Wait, i think that was this week, it mightve been the week before. Whatever. I maybe bore my testimony. I talked with a mom from ghana a lot. That was awesome, she speaks english. And then theres this other little girl, don't know her name, but shes a genius. Shes super funny and we just talked for so long it was super fun. I call her "la petite" which is like "the little" because she thinks shes taller than all the missionaries so i gotta put her in her place, now everytime i see her i call her la petite haha its fun. Honestly im new to this qard and she's been more welcoming than anyone else. Honestly this might sound kinda lame but shes like my best friend in the ward right now she's awesome, also she's like 10 haha. Whatever ça va aller, maybe I'll make some adult close friends in the future in this ward but adult friends are for losers. MONDAY: We went to office and had a slow morning but then started to get work done before i heard a chain reactions of little explosions in the ceiling. Then shortly after all the power shutting off, which means no AC and no WIFI, and no computer. So i laid on the slightly colder ground in the hot office reading emails from my friends, it wasnt horrible haha. Also before this i bought something called ORANGINA: ROUGE, it was a red version of this common drink her in Côte d'Ivoire, it was expensive but it was sooo good and it went perfectly with the food that elder walzer prepared for us. We had a nice office lunch with lots of laughs and orangina rouge it was great. TUESDAY: McCurdy was sick and didnt get any sleep so we stayed in the apartment. I got to study a bit, workout, draw a little, and listen to music, it went well WEDNESDAY: Ok, now we're into zc prep day, we had zone conference thursday and friday so Wednesday we were finishing a ton of stuff. We started the day wasting some time talking to sister and elder morris, however i want to take back "wasting" it was an amazing amazing conversation i loved it haha it was super funny and honestly I learned a bit. Now finally we went upstairs to work but we were interrupted by another group office lunch meeting haha. It was because we were getting new senior couples in the office that day! It was the sister of president Litchfield and her husband. It was awesome. We all did a get to know each other talk, introducing ourselves and ate some pizza and salad. It was delicious, however i fumbled the bag and forgot the orangina rouge. Then the rest of the day was a GRIND. Non stop work. Head ache by 4 but working till 8 type thing. Then we loaded up the car and had to grab some stuff at presidents house. We went to presidents and his wife let us in and we grabbed some stuff and sent her some finished projects. However one of them wouldnt send! We tried 30 different ways, i even went and got a usb drive and adapter i had and we tried that but it just corrupted the drive. So we tried another way which included a long download time so while we were waiting she made us scrambled eggs, avocado toast, and mango juice, i LOVE avocado toast so much and it tasted so much like home and it was so awesome. It was such a weird feeling. Finally we got it figured out with the video we were sending and we went on our way, we got home a little late but we were doing the lords work ahha. THURSDAY(ZONE CONFERENCE 1): Ok this was the first zone conference, kinda the test run haha, we had some hiccups and not everything was smooth but it went pretty well. We ate good and i got to see tons of my friends ive amde during my time here. It was a great day however, thursday and friday, we got out of bed at 6, left the house at 6:30, and went straight to zone conference which we were at until 5-6pm each day and then we didnt get home until like 8-9, they were very long days. FRIDAY( ZONE CONFERENCE 2): Same thing, only difference is i was in charge of tech with was stressful to be honest but it went well. I did pretty decent and it went super smooth Ok thats my entire week, todays Saturday so i dont have a lot to say, not much happened. I ate a little, talked a little, the usual. Winner of the week time! Ok everyone, the winner of the week this week isssss..... JAMES DUCKER! Woohoo! He had to win eventually, really one of my closest friends. Im not gonna lie we had tons of problems most of our lives and never got along. This is gonna sound hsrsh but i straight up just didnt like him. Now i bet your waiting for the cute switch around. Well sadly that's all. Im only giving him winner of the week cause we're family and i feel forced to.... Just Kidding!! Ever since he's been in high-school im dead serious hes been one of my best friends! I think we just needed some time to mature and realize we're not half bad haha. I seriously love him and its almost a sin it took him this long to win haha sorry. I think of him often and love the example he set for me. He's taught me a lot. He's a freak athlete. Hes pretty much goated at every sport and better than me at most of them. (not all of them I'd still absolutely clap him in a few) He pretty much taught me how to not dress like a 5th grader so i gotta give him some respect for that. Anyways, love you James and i can't wait for all the amazing things you're going to do. I can't wait for all the other memories we're going to make together and the time we have together after my mission. Now that all my immediate family has won i can say i honestly took advantage of all of them. I didnt spend close to enough time with my family and it's one of my regrets. Leaving on my mission has really let me see through another lens and have a deeper appreciation for the amazing family i have. That's one thing ive commited myself to doing after my mission. Spending more time with my family and i invite all of you to do the same. Families are one of the biggest blessings god has given us and the family is ESSENTIAL in the eyes/plan of god. I will be better and i hope you all will too!! I know that through gods plan i will be with my amazing family who i genuinely love, forever. And through him and only him i find joy knowing death is not the end. I will focus better to focus on my family and spend time with them after my mission! I love them and love you all! Everyone all on earth is one big eternal family and im so happy to be here with all of you. Love you ALL and im so grateful for you ALL! next week will be more interesting i promise! À la prochaine! 1-2 Office 3-5 Church 6 La Petite 7 office
