Prayer for Spiderman (Week #17)

What's up Everyone! Happy Halloween to you all. Halloween over here in Africa is a total rager, so don't get to jealous. I'm dressing up as "Le Blanc" for halloween this year, I thought it would be creative, you can tell me how you feel about that. 

First thing was every week we have a goal to meet and teach, 7 new people, so we should be having 7 first lessons a week, we usually hit about 4-5 but this week we knocked it out of the water with 11 new people. We think with those 11 about 5-6 might wanna keep talking with us so that's cool.

Next, our amie, Maman Ake, who was on date for baptism in a couple weeks, came to a collective baptism, which was insane. There were probably like 20 people there because it was a 2 zone combined thing. there were tons of baptisms and the room was filled to the brim with people, missionaries couldnt even sit in there. Maman Ake got to watch and seeing that many people being dunked in water, and the one girl struggling a few times in the water, ALONG with her fear of water, did not make her want to get baptised more haha. Miller and I asked her what she thought at the end and she just said "I am scared". Then she didnt come to church, we'll work with her ahah. 

Transfer is this saturday, so on monday we will have recieved the transfer news. We think elder miller is leaving cause he's been here for a long time then i'll lead this area which im totally okay with. Or im going to senegal, i dont make the rules but those are the only two options. 

I bought a liverpool jersey this week, it was lit, awesome material, and cheap. I am very excited. I have pictures woohoo!

I had an exchange this week, it was good, Elder Kankonde is a dedicated missionary and we hit like 2 or 3 new people just that day. I also got to rep his straw hat. I want a straw hat. I dont know where to buy a straw hat. it's a work in progress.

It was awesome. 

Elder Miller accidently made 100 cookies. He doubled the batch but really I think he 4x the batch on accident cause man. we got cookies for days.

We met with a guy named armel, he was interesting, he was super chill the first time we met him, this time he was off the walls. He is also famous like prince carter. He was showing us how he used to make music and drink and go to bars but thats all behind him becasue he loves god. We would read with him and after every line without fail he would either say "Vérité" (truth) or "C'est Vrai" (Its True). It was super funny. Also he started acting out a bunch of stuff. he got up and started kneeling towards the wall and mocking other religions or at one point he got up and went by his bible and acted like evil spirits saying "No NO NO" in like and deep scratchy voice trying to guard the light which is the bible i guess. It was very eventful, i left the room speechless. 

Lastly President Litchfield gave us a goal to re-read the book of mormon before the new year. well that was kinda crappy timing cause i literally just finished it that same week and was trying to read, the new testament. However, i took a better point of view and now im reading the whole book of mormon before new year, however, now im trying to do it in FRENCH! It is NOT easy and im already getting sick of it. I dont understand everything just concepts and certain verses really well. I'm not google translating everything otherwise it would take 5 months. Just reading through it, working on pronounciation, and working on reading comprehension. It's hard but i know if i stick through it i will recieve blessings

Sept 20 2023 This is how we communicate on days that aren't Carson's Pday (individual questions answered by emojis): Sept 22: C: I can call if u want today Me: Still sick? 😩 What time? My lunch is at 10:30 My day is pretty psycho before that time but if it needs to be before that we can make it work! RM's got me in shambles (Week #97)

Hey hey hey. Welcome back! This week was cool! I worked with my new comp elder Gibson. He's a dawg. He eats sooo much which is good. It's helping me eat more!! Maybe I'll gain some pounds I already lost. I've been working out pretty much almost every day which has been awesome. Crazy that I feel like there's actually some progress even tho I'm pretty much only doing push ups. Started my plan this week... iykyk We had stake conference which was really good. Valerie and her son came!! Big things coming for them. President and Sister Litchfield dropped bars. We were happy! We'll be doing lots of exchanges this transfer. We're planning on working harddd.
