Cafards Chinois (Week #20)

Salut! Bienvenue! This week was crazy but it was awesome. I have a lot to say. Lets get into it.

So first missionary work here is gonna be a little weird for the next 3-6 months. We are almost completely out of Book of Mormon and Retablissement Brochures. Which is difficult because we hand so many of those out. Our missionary approach is gonna have to change a little bit but it's gonna be interesting.

Next for the title. Cafards is Cockroach in french. We were at our friends house, Nader, who is white and can speak english. It's so weird talking to him it makes me feel like im not in africa but it's so lit. Anyways we're at his house. Then him and his friends see one of the many cockroaches here and africa and they start yelling CAFARDS CHINOIS. Ill let yall look up what chinois is but basically thats what they call all the tiny cockroaches.  Now we call them cafards chinois also.

I started spending a lot of money and i have a really bad feeling its not gonna slow down a lot so rip to my bank account. I bought a bunch of stuff for ties, ill send pics, a couple ties already made, a USB Drive, a Speaker, which i already broke, more on that later, and im buying a lot of Pagne (Sounds like Pine) so i can make some cool scripture cases probably a shirt or shorts too. also an adapter. Moral of the Story im starting to spend a lot of money.

BRIEF INTERMISSION: WOOOOHOOOOO Go Skyridge!!! They won the 6a Championship, FINALLY. They didn't win once while I was there but now i left and they're doing great. I also heard Lehi won 5a. So pretty much lehi is just the best. Go us. Gotta love it.

We went and got ice cream again at the goated place, it was so good this time i got rasberry which was delicious again and also pineapple which was fire. While we were eating they played Beautiful Girl- Sean Kingston and Work- Fifth Harmony. It was definitely super weird cause that's the first time i've heard normal english music in public. Plus the place is already way lit. It did not feel like i was in africa.

Speaker story, I kicked a fan on accident that was attached to a outlet on a wall and my speaker was laid on top of the outlet. i accidently kicked the cord and yanked the outlet out of the wall. Oopsies. speaker fell and then it was so staticy. It was not a happy moment. I just bought it too. Luckily i was getting prepared to get more personal funds out so it worked but right before we left i said hey lets see if this fixes it. I lifted it up at the same height as it was at before and dropped it and kid you not works like its brand new now voila.

We passed by this girl on the road who called us over and just kept looking at me and saying Je t'aime, Je t''aime. on peut faire quoi je t'aime on peut faire quoi and i was just laughing the entire time. She was basically saying i love you i love you what can we do about it, then looking at my companion and saying "I love him" then back at me and saying "what are we gonna do about it" It was super funny i dont think i said a word cause i was laughing too hard.

We were gonna try to go door to door contacting but then a muslim guy kicked us out of his building

I saw a baby absolutely launch some throw up or something out of her mouth on a mamans face during sacrament meeting

We had zone conference it was great. President and Sister Litchfield are the best

Finally quick spiritual thought (no that doesnt mean you get to go read a different email now. Ill be quck)

Sister Cibambi finished her 18 months this week and she was going home. We ended Zone conference with a super strong testimony and we all felt the spirit, it was amazing, then to top it off we sung "God be with you 'til we meet again" it was very spirtual and i felt the spirit super super strong. I wrote down that moment cause i dont want to ever forget it. I didnt know sister cibambi but she was a great example and really worked hard. Ill send a picture of her.

Also i felt like my emails lack a little bit of personal flare everyone else has there little things but not me so for now on inspired by tyson hyde i will be adding songs that i really like that have some sort of relevance. They will be spiritual songs cause thats all i listen to here but they are still good so give em a shot

The song at the end is amazing and really helped me think about the importance of christ, give it a listen.

1. Read the book of mormon (the last ones we have)
2-3. Soeur Cibambi is the one in the middle. RIP youll be missed
4. Zone conference
5-6. With our ward mission leader
7. My tan line
8. Aloco
9. Puddle with a rooster
10-11. My MT elder Jacobs. Love that guy.
12. SONG: Copie de shoulders
