NATIONAL TREASURE (AFRICAN EDITION) (Week 12)




Ok i dont know where to start and i need to be quick so im sorry. 


Um, i had two exchanges this week, that was cool, first was with elder Ngalamulume who is a french speaker, that was really cool because we've really been never close but that day i was able to speak to him in french the entire day, now obviously not very good french but good enough french that he could understand my broken french and bare with me. It was really awesome and for the first time since getting here i can genuinely start to see my progression. 
Next was my Exchange with Elder Nuttal, from UT! Gotta represent, he's a zone leader too and a really good example. I was really excited for this exchange because he's super awesome and really fun so i was ready to learn a lot. In that day we had tons of spiritual experiences but theres a few i want to focus on

1) Contacting
2) Try, try, try
3) Baptism

1) after a really slow start to a morning, (ill explain why in #2) we were out of straws, we decided to go contact by my church and see who wanted to come around there, we went up this road and along the way elder nuttal was just offering service to everyone which was really christlike and a great example, although most declined the offer it was great to see him try. then we went up still looking for someone who cared about our message and on the side of the street i kid you not this girl was eyeing us down, he goes haha i guess she's the one! So we pull over and she was so obviously the one, she told us she wanted to hear our message before we could even ask and then before we could start she brought us to her house and gave us seats, she's catholic but she seems like she really cares and i know that's who we were meant to meet, it was super spiritual and we could feel the spirit at all times. 

2) This will be quick, In the morning we had two new people planned, and 4 backups, yeah we prepared, all of this, for just two hours, Every single appointment fell through, including the backups. so with an hour left we were left in the dust, that's where #1 came in but after lunch, we still had some extra time cause we were gonna hit some of the backups that werent available anymore. There's this girl who lives in our appartment named sarah and she goes to school so we figured she wouldnt be there but wanted to try anyways, for some odd reason she was there and we had the most bomb lesson. It was totally spiritually guided and im so grateful

3) Soooo we got two new people on baptism date! ALSO soeur comfort has her interview this week to get back on date. so we'll have three! We're so excited for her and also the two new kids. They're all so ready and i cant wait for them, seriously just a spiritual day overall

Ok after the exchanges we had two things

2) Transfer News

1) ok so we're chilling in the kitchen my boy elder miller is making crepes and i hit a tile on the wall and it made the wildest noise. after hearing the noise i hit all the tiles around it and literally they all sounded normal except for the one tile, so elder miller and I being the young men that we are had to figure out why, we got a crowbar we have under the sink and pried that thing open and literallly just behind that tile there was a locked safe, with gold coins on the side, and a little fake skeleton head, we're trying to figure out how to get into the safe now but i''ll keep you updated

2) Transfer News
...DRUMROLL PLEASEEEEEE....

ELDER MILLER AND I ARE STAYING TOGETHER IN NIANGON 3 WOOHOOOO 
I really do love my sector so much and I got blessed with a pretty cool companion so i'm very happy with this news

Ok that's all! Except for the fact that i should tell you now that the national treasure story is not true, except for the fact that there is a tile that definitely  does not have something behind it, i guaruntee there's a safe but sadly im not gonna break the wall... unless... Carson’s Hospital Stay (week 64) - complied by Mom

Sept 20 2023 This is how we communicate on days that aren't Carson's Pday (individual questions answered by emojis): Sept 22: C: I can call if u want today Me: Still sick? 😩 What time? My lunch is at 10:30 My day is pretty psycho before that time but if it needs to be before that we can make it work! C: That works I think I'm leaving the hospital this evening But I’m not sure *(We found out he went to the hospital Wednesday afternoon the day we did questions and emojis) Me: Shoot! You’ve been so sick for so long C: Yeah I've had an on and off fever for 2 weeks now Me: Wanna tell me what you have? Or are you loving the suspense? C: Then I had covid like 3-4 weeks ago IDK what I have… Me: They don’t know huh? High fevers. C: They said that when there's constant on and off fevers like this that means there's a problem. But they did the tests and I don't have dengue I don't have malaria I don't have typhoid or anything like that...

RM's got me in shambles (Week #97)

Hey hey hey. Welcome back! This week was cool! I worked with my new comp elder Gibson. He's a dawg. He eats sooo much which is good. It's helping me eat more!! Maybe I'll gain some pounds I already lost. I've been working out pretty much almost every day which has been awesome. Crazy that I feel like there's actually some progress even tho I'm pretty much only doing push ups. Started my plan this week... iykyk We had stake conference which was really good. Valerie and her son came!! Big things coming for them. President and Sister Litchfield dropped bars. We were happy! We'll be doing lots of exchanges this transfer. We're planning on working harddd. We set some big goals for ourselves and our zone. We'll see what we can accomplish!
