Bonjour mon amies! Semaine quatre du MTC
So to be completely honest I don't even really remember what's happened this week. The weeks have started to blend together a little bit but hey! I'm super super close to 1 full month out! Time flies, it's been a crazy month.
In other news we got new roommates this week. One of them speaks pretty good English, the other, not so much. It's been great having french speaking elders in our room so we can get just a little more immersed in the language.
I was making a lot of good progress in the Book of Mormon until we had to alternate between French and English. This basically means I have to read in French, then read in English and try to interpret the verse and what each word means. It's good and has taught me a lot, however it really stunted my Book of Mormon study because it takes me a lot of time to get through just one chapter. But now, I'm making a goal to study the scriptures a lot for the last couple weeks before I leave. My goal is to finish around half the book and really get into heavy scripture study. I received so many answers while I was pretty heavy into it and I really want that back so it's time to go back to work!
There's a new guy here from the UK and I love British accents. I keep saying British slang like "innit" "lad" "rubbish" and that's been super funny. Man, that guy has the best American accent. It's insane. Also he's pretty good at football so that's been fun, however, horrible news. This new transfer of 3 week missionaries are so much worse at football then the last transfer. Also none of the new Africans pass to me cause i'm white and they just assume i'm bad. Tragic innit. But while we were playing today we did rotations so 3 teams and if you score you're out. Our team consisted of 4 white guys and a couple Africans and they all thought we'd be trash. Shout out to my white elders, Elder Casperson, Elder Jacobs, and Elder Kesterson. Elder Kesterson hit the nicest goal of all time and we all hyped him up and then it was some awesome big thing, then we got scored on like 2 minutes later so that was just awesome.
Last thing is thank you to my main man Elder Palmer for setting me up with Jeffrey R Holland's son. Elder Holland of the seventy. He's coming to the Ghana MTC and Garrett had the opportunity to meet with him in the airport! Soon I'll have the opportunity to also see him here in the Ghana MTC and I'm very excited, It's a small world!
I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH and please keep sending me emails! I love them all so much and they've been so nice to be able to read. Sorry if I don't respond to all of you but I genuinely try every week! Also until I report to the field P days are WEDNESDAY now so that can temporarily be your new favorite day of the week, lundi can be your favorite in like 2 weeks.
