BONJOUR! week 3!!

I miss all of you so much and the emails are so so so fun to read so make sure you all keep sending them in! This week was wild. We started french immersion this week and that's been so crazy and also about 80% of the MTC left! So for the next couple days for the first time ever there's probably more white people than black people in the MTC so that's interesting. It was super super sad seeing all the people i've gotten close to leave. they were really sad as well but somehow at the same time super happy cause now they get to go serve in the field! I'm so so excited for them and I know they're gonna kill it. I've seriously met some of the nicest people.


On P-day last week I got a haircut and they actually shaped all my hair and lined me up because they only typically cut black hair. they don't really understand with white people you just typically line up the edges but nope they just shaped all of my hair so thats cool. It was really really funny seeing all the white people in our MTC with black haircuts hahaha. Also we were able to go to the temple again which was amazing! And what came with that was I was able to talk to a native who had a super cool native straight white tie. We asked him how we could get some and he said he actually knew the guy who made it so he'll tell him how many we need and we'll just pay him!! The ties were so cool and we're all going to have the coolest temple ties. Merci random temple guy! je t'aime!!

Also with everyone leaving we've got kicked out of our rooms so they can clean and prepare for the next group. Speaking of the next group. There's about 20 Americans coming again which is just less than our group yet still more than usual, and I think they said 50+ Congolese. if that's how you spell it, "people from the congo" and apparently they're crazy. This batch will be especially crazy because there was some visa issue in between the country so they had to do 9 weeks online and now they just want to go into the field but they have to now come to the MTC for even more training so they're just gonna be uncontrollable which will definitely be a fun experience.

Besides that I can't really think of a lot of other stuff that happened. I saw white girls for the first time since the states so that was kinda surprising, OH and listen to this. I KNEW ONE OF THEM. small world huh! I literally played spikeball with one of them in Utah and the next time I see her is in AFRICA. Never would have guessed it but that's been my week!

Sept 20 2023 This is how we communicate on days that aren't Carson's Pday (individual questions answered by emojis): Sept 22: C: I can call if u want today Me: Still sick? 😩 What time? My lunch is at 10:30 My day is pretty psycho before that time but if it needs to be before that we can make it work! C: That works I think I'm leaving the hospital this evening But I’m not sure *(We found out he went to the hospital Wednesday afternoon the day we did questions and emojis) Me: Shoot! You’ve been so sick for so long C: Yeah I've had an on and off fever for 2 weeks now Me: Wanna tell me what you have? Or are you loving the suspense? C: Then I had covid like 3-4 weeks ago IDK what I have… Me: They don’t know huh? High fevers. C: They said that when there's constant on and off fevers like this that means there's a problem. RM's got me in shambles (Week #97)

Hey hey hey. Welcome back! This week was cool! I worked with my new comp elder Gibson. He's a dawg. He eats sooo much which is good. It's helping me eat more!! Maybe I'll gain some pounds I already lost. I've been working out pretty much almost every day which has been awesome. Crazy that I feel like there's actually some progress even tho I'm pretty much only doing push ups. Started my plan this week... iykyk We had stake conference which was really good. Valerie and her son came!! Big things coming for them. President and Sister Litchfield dropped bars. We were happy! We'll be doing lots of exchanges this transfer. We're planning on working harddd. We set some big goals for ourselves and our zone. We'll see what we can accomplish!
